Noise advisory for Camp Murray neighbors
CAMP MURRAY, WA – The Washington National Guard will fire a cannon salute beginning at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9th, at the south gate area near the American Lake Conference Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
The cannon salute is part of a celebration of life ceremony for Command Sergeant Major Kelly Wortman. The duration of the ceremonial cannon firing is estimated to be less than 20 seconds with a total of three rounds being fired, but will be audible in Tillicum, on Camp Murray and on parts of Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
