WMD to reinstitute the Conditional Scholarship Program

veteranseducation.jpg

With great effort on the part of the National Guard Association of Washington (NGAW), and the Washington Military Department (WMD) Leadership, the State legislature appropriated $200,000 to the WMD to reinstitute the Conditional Scholarship Program. This program gives MG Daugherty, The Adjutant General (TAG), the ability to distribute these funds over the next two years to qualified Washington National Guard Airmen and Soldiers in order attain higher education opportunities while serving as an incentive to extend their service obligation.  MG Daugherty recently approved TAG Instruction 0100.01 (WANG Conditional Scholarship Program), the instruction which governs how the program is managed, and appointed members of the Conditional Scholarship Advisory Board.  These actions open the door for our service members to apply for this scholarship money.
